If not done, condensation will begin to occur. In new construction, it is best to apply prior to installment of A.C. ducts or after passing any rough inspections. As foaming them can fail you.

If you are looking just to refresh your home, this is the best inexpensive option. There is no need to remove old pre-existing insulation, you can just blow it over! Excellent for wine rooms, freezers, under concrete or metal decks or tight cavity areas requiring minimum R ratings unachievable with other insulation. It is commonly applied in crawl spaces as a water vapor barrier preventing evaporation and condensation on floor decks. Since it is water impermeable, it is not recommended on a wooden roof deck. If a leak where to occur, you will not be able to detect it causing further damage.
